Acacia
Explore Your Senses

A footprint, not a stay

Acacia – Explore Your Senses is a complete architectural and construction project by MMAp Construction & Insurance Consultants, where design and execution combine to create a singular experience of staying.

“My original vision wasn’t to create just another place to stay. I wanted to create a footprint — a space that belongs to its place without imitating it, and that respects the person who stays there without directing them. From the very first moment, Acacia was designed as a living experience rather than a tourism product.” — Maria Petrou, Founder

Architecture as a trace of practice

Every decision, from the layout of the rooms to the choice of materials, came from the idea that a space has to work before it can be seen. Stone, wood, earth, shadow and light weren’t chosen to impress, but to create a sense of intimacy and continuity with the landscape of Preveza — so a guest can move through the space with ease, stand still, rest, and simply notice.

What stays after the door closes

We were never interested in the image a photograph would capture, but in what remains once the door closes behind you. That’s why guests often tell us Acacia is more beautiful in person than in the photos — not because the photos aren’t good, but because the space is experienced through all the senses: through movement, through use, through silence, through light, through touch.

An integrated project, start to finish

Design and construction were carried out by the same team from concept through to completion, with insurance and property protection built in from the start rather than added as an afterthought.

Our vision was — and remains — to create architecture that doesn’t impose itself. That leaves room for a person to exist within it. Because, in the end, architecture isn’t the object. It’s the life that happens inside it.
