Villa Nevas
A Restored Stone Building
Restoration and reuse
Villa Nevas, in Loutsa near Preveza, is the restoration and redesign of an existing traditional stone building, converted into a contemporary hospitality residence by MMAp Construction. The architectural approach was founded on respect for the existing structure and for the local architectural character, with the aim of preserving the authenticity of the stone shell while incorporating contemporary living and comfort.
Stone as the starting point
The study and the design concentrated on bringing out the materiality of the stone, improving the way the interior spaces work, and striking a balance between the traditional and the contemporary. Alongside that, emphasis was placed on settling the building naturally into its surroundings and preserving its authentic identity.
Design and construction by the same team
Our company took on both the architectural design and the full construction of the project, ensuring the existing shell was properly restored and upgraded into a contemporary residence built to a high standard.
Villa Nevas is a characteristic example of reusing a traditional building, where the architectural intervention respects the past and at the same time creates a contemporary place to stay with lasting value.
